2009 brought a lot of change for me personally and CoreConnex. As is customary for the last day of the year , I am being prompted to think about the past year and reflect (for about 15 seconds) and then look forward to 2010 – what can we do differently? What do we keep doing the same? Are there new opportunities we need to be looking at? Are we managing our business as well as we can?
what I’ve come to realize is that it can be very easy to get carried away with all the “stuff” that needs to be done for the business but it always boils down to a few priorities;
- Talk to customers so yon know what their priorities are and they remember why they do business with you
- Spend 30-60 minutes every month setting and assigning priorities for the month
- set and track financial goals
- Make sure everyone in the company understands their role and responsibilities – their is never a “perfect” match so get as close as you can
- Have a good time
Do the best you can with what yon have and be happy knowing you put forth the best effort you are capable of – have a great 2010!
