Personal Relationships Still Matter
I recently read a post on LinkedIn that said it takes 6-8 months to form a business relationship via social media forums. In today’s modern age of ‘meet online before ever meeting in person’, it is apparent to me that the business relationships we form are more important than ever. We no longer have the opportunity to build trust through regular face to face meetings. If we’re lucky we get to see each other at conferences occassionally and even then, it may only be for 10-15 mintues at a time.
Here we are catching up at CompTIA Break Away 2010.
The IT services industry is full of great entreprenuers, marketers, sales and marketing professionals, executives and don’t forget everyone who gets everything ready for all those conferences. CoreConnex is honored to be working with some very great people at this time in history. Let’s not let the technology get in our way of connecting.
Here are a few things I’ve learned from some great people.
Derek Brown of Pronto Marketing has taught me that we truly live in a virtual world and that focus on your strategy is paramount to a business.
I’ve learned that imagination and creativity are part of contributing to growth as much as your financials from Aaron Booker of VarVid.
