Azure Platform for Industrial-Strength SaaS!

Azure Platform for Industrial-Strength SaaS!
Corelytics is now certified and operational on Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud. We are taking this cloud thing seriously, and are now doing what we have advised other companies to do.
Microsoft recently interviewed us about our app and our move to Azure.
Why did we make this transition? Actually there are a lot of reasons, but they all boil down to: lower cost, greater capacity, better security and much more flexibility. Each one of these reasons has a separate story and is probably blog worthy. But there is yet one more reason: strategic positioning. We could have justified the move to Azure with any one of these reasons, but strategic positioning is like a trump card.
So here’s the thought process:
We are seeing a lot of major companies move to the cloud and make their software products accessible through API (application program interface) services. Intuit, for example, has moved QuickBooks Online to the Azure cloud and they also offer a cloud-enabled extension of their ubiquitous QuickBooks Desktop (this includes pro, enterprise, etc.). So now we can bolt the Corelytics Financial Dashboard onto cloud-enabled QuickBooks and have a faster, simpler, safer data connection with a complete Azure-to-Azure connection – probably the fastest and most secure connection in the known universe.
As I like to say with our clients, “now we’re as safe as the bank.”
And with the connection to the Intuit world, we can provide other highly-integrated future services that will be easier to build and better integrated.
Rumor has it that we are building a customer profitability analysis capability into Corelytics, but since we have a policy against pre-announcing new stuff – ooops.
Much more to come. Stay tuned!
