Frank E. Coker
President and CEO
Mr. Frank Coker has specialized in management consulting, business development and information systems technologies since 1969.
From 1985 to present, Mr. Coker has been President and owner of a management consulting firm, Information Systems Management, Inc. The company has employed up to 12 consultants and 30 technology subcontractors with expertise in a wide range of general business and information systems related skills. During this time, Mr. Coker has contracted with numerous clients to manage and facilitate major organizational change through the use of systems technologies and organization change processes. Areas of expertise include organizational planning, marketing, internal operations, product development and packaging, and information systems planning and development.
Mr. Coker has launched 5 start-up companies, one of which received $22 million in venture capital. He has been president and CEO, chairman of the board, COO, CFO, and served in a variety of other leadership positions. He has also been retained to manage numerous business turn-around situations, participated in mergers and acquisitions, supported new business development and has assisted investors in due diligence projects and business strategy development.
Mr. Coker’s prior work experience includes five years with Price Waterhouse as a Senior Manager in the consulting services group, and five years with IBM in sales and marketing. He holds a masters degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Mr. Coker is currently on the board and past president of the Institute of Management Consultants Pacific Northwest Chapter and a past board member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) International and a past president of the Seattle Area Chapter of SIM. He teaches a series of courses at the University of Washington in the Masters of Science in Information Management program in the Information School and is a frequent speaker at conferences and professional organizations and author of articles in business and trade journals on topics related to technology and business strategy.
Tony L. Lael
Executive Vice President, Operations
Mr. Lael has specialized in operations management, management consulting, small business management, IT operations and software development since 1996.
From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Lael was the President and owner of a management and technical consulting firm, Aponus. The company worked on projects employing up to 5 consultants. During that time Mr. Lael contracted with numerous clients to facilitate business growth and operational efficiencies. Areas of expertise include operations, business development, sales, time-to-market strategies, product improvement, budget management, information modeling, strategic planning, software selection and implementation, RFI and RFP responses and new product development.
Mr. Lael’s prior work experience includes three years with AT&T Wireless as an IT Analyst. He has also been employed as a Manager, Account Manager, Systems Analyst and Web Developer in businesses ranging from under ten employees to large enterprises with over 30,000 employees.
Mr. Lael holds Bachelor’s degrees in Management and Management Information Systems. Mr. Lael served on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Institute of Management Consultants in 2005 and 2006. He is a regular author of articles published in the Puget Sound Business Journal on topics related to technology use and value in small and medium sized businesses.
